Jason recently discovered an excellent bike trail not too far away that's flat enough for me to get my bike legs back without killing myself on the hills in town. Yesterday we packed up the bikes and headed over to check it out. It's a quick 20 minutes drive and then there are 11 miles of relatively flat paved trail with ever-changing scenery to entertain you. We managed about 13 miles yesterday which meant we turned around at about the halfway point. My knees were really screaming the first ten minutes but then felt fine until about mile 8. I think I definitely need to get myself a seat pad now that I'm convinced we're going to continue using the bikes. I'm more than a little sore even though my seat does have springs.
