We have to stop meating like this
I've been searching for awhile now for a good local source of naturally raised meat. We loved the pig we got from Walter but we really want more variety. Last month while check the Eat Wild directory again I stumbled across the Chestnut Farms meat CSA. This is ideal for us because you pay by the month and you get an assortment of meats as well as the opportunity to buy fresh eggs when you pick up. This is our first allotment of lamb, pork, beef, sausage and chicken. Naturally raised meat is not cheap and I think in general we Americans tend to eat too much meat so I am considering using only this meat supplemented with fish and then eating vegetarian meals the rest of the month. Our allotment is 10 pounds a month and until the fall that'll be split between three people.
