Sunday morning was a beautiful winter wonderland so we stopped to snap a few photos on the way to knitting. Later in the day we visited Quilter's Way in Concord where I was sucked in by the jelly roll quilt concept. As if we hadn't already fit enough into our weekend we also tucked in a quick batch of soap as well. A friend has been telling me about some cool soap her mom used to have which had a loofah embedded into it and I just had to give that a try. For my first attempt I precut the loofah. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to find the seams to cut the soap but it worked out fairly well. I also had a couple cute little sheep molds to try. He didn't come out of the mold very cleanly so next time I will try coating it with a bit of olive oil before I pour the soap and see if that doesn't work better.
