Embossed Leaves

Here's my start on the Embossed Leaves socks from Winter 05 IK. I'm doing them on size 1 needles in Taj Mahal ice green and if all goes well these are intended for my Sockapaloooza pal. After reading on other blogs that the socks were turning out too tight I was a bit worried but I checked my beginning of a cuff out and it does go over my foot so I'll keep knitting and checking periodically.

I made these socks for my mother in law, and I did the ribbing and first few pattern repeats on a larger needle, since she has skniity ankles but average-to-large legs. It worked out great. Had I made them for myself, I think I would have done the whole sock on the smaller needles.
